Paul Carpenter of the Morning Call talks about a report released by the ACLU. It shows that the number of students suspended or expelled in Pennsylvania has “dramatically increased” in the last 15 years. The report blames “zero tolerance” policies in recent years, which can result in a student getting ousted for violations once considered picayune, such as dress code violations or talking back.
